    They call Tenerife “Island of Eternal Spring”. Famous for its mild climate, beautiful ocean expanses and unforgettable shooting star showers it is a world-class resort.

    In 2014 associations “Musica Classica” – Russia and “Morgondagens Kultur” (“Culture of Tomorrow”) – Sweden, brought the International Festival-Competition “Musica Classica” to Tenerife with support from Municipality of Arona and Los Cristianos Music School. The Competition brought to the island a plethora of participants, outstanding young musicians and well-known teachers from many countries. Its success convinced the founders that Tenerife’s own classical music festival-competition would be a sustainable project. That is how Stars at Tenerife came to life. With Natalia Kazimirovskaya and Tamara Poddubnaya at its helm, 2015 and 2016 Stars at Tenerife continued its success.

     

    RULES AND REGULATIONS

    International Music Festival-Competition “Stars at Tenerife 2017”

     

    Auditions are held in the following nominations:

    1.PIANO SOLO
    2.STRING INSTRUMENTS (violin, viola, cello, guitar)
    3.WIND INSTRUMENTS (brass and wood)
    4.PIANO DUETS (four hands one piano)
    5.SOLO SINGING
    6.CHAMBER, VOCAL and INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLES
    7.ACCORDION
    8.CHOIRS AND ORCHESTRAS
    9.ACCOMPANIMENT

    Age category is determined by age of the party on 25.10.2017
    For ensembles, age is determined as arithmetic mean of ages of all participants. The following are the age categories and application fees (Please note, we offer early registration discounts):

    For nominations 1,2,3 and 7
    Age category “A” – up to 9 years (up to 7 minutes)
    Age category “B” – 10-12 years (up to 10 minutes)
    Age category “C” – 13-15 years (up to 12 minutes)
    Age category “D” – 16-18 years (up to 15 minutes)
    Age category “E” – 19-22 years (up to 18 minutes)
    Age category “F” – no age limit (up to 20 minutes)
